Perform Without Limits

The professional backing track engine for live musicians. True gapless playback, per-player monitor mixes, lyric and sheet displays, MIDI and OSC automation, and show-wide sync from one reliable playback core.

TraxDeck — Professional backing track engine

Features

Everything you need on stage. Nothing you don't.

Built by a working musician for real-world gigs. Every feature in TraxDeck exists because it solves a live performance problem.

Multi-Stem Playback

Play multiple audio stems in perfect sync with support for high-resolution WAV and FLAC, plus space-saving MP3 and OGG. Built for real multitrack show playback, not a hacked-together stereo workaround.

Flexible Audio Routing

Route playback through multi-output audio interfaces and build separate mixes for FOH, in-ear monitors, click, and cues. Adjust volume, mute, and group balance for each feed from the browser interface.

MIDI Playback and Show Automation

Handle MIDI tracks alongside audio stems for synth playback, patch changes, and external device control. Send Program Changes, Control Changes, and timeline-based automation to keyboards, guitar rigs, and other stage hardware.

Deep OSC Integration

Send and receive OSC for lighting, video, and external show systems. TraxDeck fits easily into larger production setups where playback has to stay locked to the rest of the stage.

Lyrics That Follow the Song

Display lyrics from plain text or synchronized MIDI lyric tracks, including standard MIDI lyric events and legacy KAR-style files. Built-in tools help you edit, format, and refine lyric timing for performance.

Sheet, Image, and PDF Display

Show chord charts, notation, lyric sheets, and reference pages from standard image formats or PDF documents, synchronized to the active song when needed.

Setlist Management

Build, save, reorder, and run setlists with a fast drag-and-drop workflow designed for live use. Built for the practical reality of rehearsals, last-minute changes, and performance night.

Redundancy and Failover

Dual-machine redundancy and sub-second failover planned for the upcoming Tour Version. For productions that require hardware-level backup.

Cross-Platform Deployment

TraxDeck runs on macOS, Windows, and Linux, with Raspberry Pi support for compact playback rigs and embedded stage systems.

Reliability

The show must go on, and it will

TraxDeck is engineered for the only environment that matters: live performance. Its playback architecture is built around low-latency, real-time-safe audio handling, responsive transport control, and dependable synchronization across the whole show. It does not depend on a live internet connection to run on stage.

  • Dual-machine redundancy with sub-second failover (Tour Version)
  • Operates locally once your show is loaded — no internet required on stage
  • Browser-based control over standard Ethernet or Wi-Fi

Control

Your rig, your rules

TraxDeck is designed to fit into existing stage setups, not replace them. Control transport, sections, cues, and playback behaviors from foot controllers, MIDI devices, touchscreens, or production systems over OSC.

  • Full MIDI mapping workflow for performance control
  • OSC integration for lighting, video, and show-control systems
  • Keyboard shortcuts for fast desktop control
  • Web-based control from computers, tablets, and phones

Synchronisation

Audio, lyrics, sheets, and show control in time

TraxDeck keeps audio playback, lyric timing, sheet changes, MIDI automation, metronome events, and external control locked to the same timeline. When the arrangement moves, your cues move with it. No drift. No guesswork.

  • Audio, lyrics, and MIDI automation locked to a single timeline
  • Sheet and image changes synchronized to the active song
  • OSC output keeps external show systems locked to playback

Testimonials

Trusted by musicians who can't afford to fail

We stopped worrying about the click track the day we switched to TraxDeck. The redundancy alone is worth every cent on a touring production.

James Whitmore

Music Director · Global Arena Tour

As a keys player I finally have a rig that lets me focus on the music. The per-musician mix control changed the way I work with my IEM mix.

Sarah Chen

Keys / MD · West End Productions

The video sync is rock solid. We run a 90-minute show with full backing and not a single frame drop. Our LD loves the DMX integration.

I evaluated every backing track solution on the market. TraxDeck is the only one built by someone who actually plays live.

Set list management used to be a nightmare with separate tools. Now everything is in one place and my crew can make changes from front of house.
